"Ibim" is 6 days old.

William will be one week old tomorrow! This time with him is flying by! I can't believe Billy has been home a week and will go back to work on Monday. Thankfully, Mimi will stay another week. :)))) Everything is going very smoothly. The last two nights he's only waken up twice to eat. He only cries when he's hungry or when he's getting his diaper changed. He's a SLEEPER. Riley still likes him (keeping our fingers crossed that this continues for a while.) She calls him "Ibim."

Day 2 & 3

Had to include this one. Sooooo sleepy but sooo happy!

William Charles McCord IV was born on Saturday evening, October 17 at 6:35pm!! He is perfect! Everything went extremely smoothly and we are still in shock that we are already back home. We are especially happy that he was born on Papa's birthday!! There's a lot going on around here so more chatting next time! These are from Day 1. More pics to come.

We arrived at the hospital at 2:30pm... water breaks...pitocin...5cm...10cm...6 pushes later...6:35pm... he's here (and huge)!!!!

Of course, William and I stayed up all night and stared at each other! lol. So fun! I think he slept a little but I was wide awake all night. So excited! I just stared at him, nursed, and greeted hospital staff every hour. Stay tuned for Day 2!

Rock On

Let me just say that I LOVE this child. We haven't captured a moment like this on camera since her first week of life. SO Riley. 'Follow your heart' sunglasses upside down, Field Day t-shirt (from when she spent the whole day at the snack bar), striped leggings, hot pink skater shoes. Ugh. My heart breaks just thinking about the day that she won't be forced to spend her every waking hour with me, the day she has her own agenda. Can you imagine what her agenda will entail? Btw, she wore the Mardi Gras beads to Central Market because we were grocery shopping for our gumbo. The guy at the fish counter put that together. That's yet another reason why I love C.M. Everyone always asks, "Whatcha cookin?" I just like talking about food and that is def. the place to do it. Plus Doodles gets siked about the balloons everytime we go. It's almost as fun as going to the "Die Clean!" (Dry Cleaners) Where she demands a sucker as soon as the poor lady opens the back car door in the drive thru. What's the magic word? "Please." (annoyed.)
