WCM IV

We're having a BOY!!!! We are all so excited!!!!!! We had the sonogram yesterday at 2:30. Seems like we waited forever in the waiting room. One of the OBs in the practice did the sonogram and was extremely thorough. She showed us every single thing she was looking for and measured everything! So now we know we are having a healthy, very active baby boy in October. He moved the entire time! It was so funny! He was showing us his biceps and turning every which way. We have a few photos to share so I will scan them in and post them later today. So exciting!!! (And I'm so glad we decided to find out!)

Tyler

We spent the weekend in Tyler and had so much fun. We checked out some very unique little stores and boutiques. After naps we headed out to the World of Wildlife Museum (free admission!) and playground. Riley Jane was halarious running around and checking out all the animals. We didn't make it to the playground because they were closing. We'll save that outing for another day. Great day altogether.

Riley Jane taking a closer looks at the animals.

She really got a kick out of this light box.

After I took this pic, I was like "Riley! Stand still for once!!" But when I saw it on the camera, it looked like she was running alongside the lion. Ha ha haa!! So funny! So Riley Jane.

My favorite exhibit- the four dressed up monkeys playing monopoly.

This is the porch of the Country Store with lots of things for Riley Jane NOT to touch. We walked through that part kind of fast. But it was really interesting. The porch part turned out to be a big hit.

I LOVE this picture of my favorite two together.

She was probably not supposed to be sitting in this rocking chair. And the hair has gotten a little out of control by now.

Ah yes, the end of the tour. Riley Jane gets a 5 cent dum dum (her favorite.) She picked root beer?

Riley Jane all dressed up for church on Sunday morning. The highlight of her morning were the doughnut holes.

Cheese!

I added these to show my dad how nice the yard is looking. Everything is so green ( for a while.) We've been working on it a lot and I think it looks great! I know my Dad appreciates some nice fluffy carpet grass like I do. Dad- see how all the carpet grass is finally spreading!?! Yea!

This also shows the lot across the street but you can see how the carpet grass is slowing taking over in the front yard too. Sadly, I think our house will sell all too soon.

Fabric-aholic

Ok I want to know if anyone else has this problem. I have a whole closet full of fabric. I love it. I keep buying it and hardly ever make anything practical out of it. I can't remember the last time I made anything. Several times I've cleaned out my artsy closet and organized it. I do enjoy that. You know, getting it all out, ironing it and folding it up. It looks so nice stacked up together. So, as soon as school gets out, I plan on making all kinds of cards, burp rags, bibs, onsies, hair bow holders, what else? Any ideas? Send a comment with your thoughts. I'll definitely be needing more fabric to keep my stacks looking cute. I might even need some boy fabrics. Check out free shipping for U.S. orders (sorry Em) over $35 on http://www.fabric.com/. Can't wait to hear your suggestions!

Baby Shower!

The baby shower at Wimbish on Friday was great! They made everything so special for Baby McCord :) The decorations were beautiful and the cake was so yummy! It meant so much to me that all those hard-working teachers stayed late on a Friday afternoon to celebrate. Riley Jane enjoyed the balloons we brought home for her. And Mason met one of his famous offspring for the first time- "Cache Money." They were so cute together. I know Cache will turn out to be such a great dog like Mason. What a cutie! Puppies are so fun.

The Bump: Take 1

The bump! I have a noticeable bump even before lunch! I am truly not on the ball this time with my doctor's appointments. I waited too long and now my sonogram is scheduled for the end of my 20th week which is May 29th. I tried to move it up but there were no openings. :( I laughed so hard at my last visit because my wonderful doctor asked me if I wanted a sonogram. Halarious. He is so old school and not worried one bit about this pregnancy. I gave a heartfelt headshake and smiled brightly. Billy and I haven't quite decided if we are going to find out if the baby is a 'he' or 'she.' ...kind of exciting for us...kind of annoying for you. We will decide before this weekend. I've picked out the crib bedding for both so I'm ready for anything. Names are coming along quite well. We have one for a boy. Can you guess it? And several for a girl. I am so happy that Riley Doodle will have a sibling soon. Just someone to sit with her in their princess lawn chairs on the deck and eat cookies by the plastic pool (or camo lawn chair.) Here's a glimpse of what we'll be dealing with in October.

Thank you diapers.com

Ok I know everyone has heard of www.diapers.com, but who's tried it? I checked online and they've got great prices and free shipping over $49. How hard would it be to spend $49 on diapers and babywash? They have everything from California Baby soap to Lansinol cream (can I get an amen for that stuff?). Even sippy cups!! I'm not sure why, but it is such a pain to make a trip to the store for these types of items that are so necessary. It seems like everyday I'm going to the store for diapers or after bite or sippy cups or milk or something important we've run out of it. Braums will no longer sell me milk at the drive-thru. :( Real tears fell that day. It was too good to be true. And why did the milk man stop coming around? That was genius. Thank you diapers.com for making my life easier.

Smack!

Riley Jane has been a happy camper. Mamama finally :) came back from a
very long trip to Scotland, Mimi has been here for three days, and all
three grandparents took her to the park last night and let her swim in
the fountain. You'll see from the pictures that she enjoyed it. Mamama
brought back a beautiful green dress from Scotland! While wearing it,
she fittingly sat down on the kitchen floor for a tea. Thanks for the
input Em. We also love the "I love Mummy!" t-shirt. Classic. Riley
Jane gave everyone SMACKS last night and loved Mimi's Chicken Fried
Deer Steak, green beans and mashed potatoes! Tonight Mimi and I left
Riley Jane with Billy so we could run to the store and we locked them
out in the garage. When Billy went to open the back door and it was
locked, Riley Jane said "keys?"
